and so are the wedding's that I had previously booked prior to my decision to take a break! I'm still very thankful for my decision. Having more time to focus on what I love the MOST... my faith, and my family... and my friends too! The past 2 weeks we have lost an uncle at 68 years old... a friend and young mother at 39, and tragically another young friend at 27. It's moments like this when one MUST reflect, and realize that life is so very brief... and we only live it once. And that my friends, is why I can't fill every waking moment filling it with cookies. As much I love making them, and decorating them... there must be priorities. That being said... it was fun to dabble again and practice with these cookies. This beautiful bride ties this knot in August. Her amazing bridesmaid ordered these for the shower held this past week. This bride loves polka dots and bows! A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E Can't wait for your special day, ST and MG!

Retiring?!
Tough decision... I will no longer be accepting cookie orders for 2012. I will honour all orders that have been discussed already, so don't worry if you are one of those weddings I have booked! If you are one of those orders, please email me 4-6 weeks prior to your event. After much self-reflecting the past few weeks, I need to find more balance in my life, and pay homage to what is most important. That is, not being too busy. I must honour my family and enjoy my 3 lil kids before they grow up! Please keep in touch via email... edmontondelish@gmail.com and... THANK YOU for all your kind words and business the last year and a half. I love you all!

Christmas Mania!
25 dozen cookies made this Christmas season! Here are some of the designs made this season. Some Christmasy, others wintery... Then a special birthday treat for a 5 year old boy who got to play at Rexall Place during an Oiler's game intermission. So, I thought it fitting to do some hockey themed cookies for his day which he did have to spend at school! Wishing you all the very best and here's to a prosperous and healthy 2012.

Christmas Cookies
We are pushing out Christmas cookies like crazy! Several dozen of these themes went out the door last week! I forgot to take pictures of them with the "Real" camera!!! Just playing with my new ipod touch, so took these with that. It shall have to do! We are meant to be +7 here tomorrow... this does not feel like winter, nor does it seem like Christmas is only a week away!!!! Nothing like some cookies to get you in the mood!

Randomness
After being approached by the organizer of a district floor hockey tournament, I figured I had nothing to lose but a few hours of sleep! So I whipped up 60 cookies to sell at their concession. They sold out!!! What great feeling! Here are some samples. Pathetic rinks I know, but the kids sure didn't care! :-)

Blue and White... elegant, classy, touch of vintage? Perfect for the baby boy shower this week-end. This host will certainly be the envy of other party planners out there. I mean, you wish you had cookies like this at your baby shower, right?! I do love how these turned out! Hope the party is a 100% success and that baby gets more than spoiled!!

Happy 60th!
Happy 60th Birthday to this dear mom! A surprise get-a-way party with family planned by her daughters. With one living in Manitoba, and the other in Alberta, the Moose Jaw Spa was the perfect meeting location. With a winter storm well on its way, I hope the hwys were good to you girls. If not, I hope these cookies melted the stress away and that you all had a marvelous and momentous occasion together! Thank you for letting us be apart of your celebration!

Wedding Bells
What feels like just a moment ago, is really 10-11 years ago, when I taught this young bride piano lessons! At the time, we were both living in Regina. I was completing my BMusEd degree, and this beautiful lady was in Jr High? High school? Now... we're both here in Edmonton! But back to Regina she goes to marry a local Edmontonian. They are sweet, gentle and oh so kind! I'm so excited for them and glad that they will be making their home here in Edmonton. I feel honoured to have done these cookies for their wedding TODAY! (Since it's now midnight!) R and J, were out to the Island at another friends wedding whom I did cookies for as well. So they took that idea and added their personal touch. Bright flowers and different shades of purple! I wish you both many, many years of joy together!
