Happy 60th!

Happy 60th Birthday to this dear mom! A surprise get-a-way party with family planned by her daughters. With one living in Manitoba, and the other in Alberta, the Moose Jaw Spa was the perfect meeting location. With a winter storm well on its way, I hope the hwys were good to you girls. If not, I hope these cookies melted the stress away and that you all had a marvelous and momentous occasion together! Thank you for letting us be apart of your celebration!

Family Celebrations

In this large, adorable family there are many, many celebrations through out the year! 8 kids and spread out from Eastern USA to Western USA to Alberta and Saskatchewan.... it's not often that this family gets to be together. Celebrating 3 birthdays and a chance for some of them to be together, it was a chance to try these yummy cookies. Given no guidelines, I just tried a few new images, I haven't tried before! Room for much improvement, however, they'll still taste amazing! ENJOY!

Happy 7th Birthday to this sweet GIRL! This darling M isn't into the "girly" thing, whatever that may be! For picture day at school she told her mom, "Please don't make me pretty!" How cute is that! Mr. E is officially double digits, much to his mother's disbelief! Where has the time gone?! A mature young man, kind hearted, and a great sense of humour, this kid LOVES these cookies! So, Happy Birthday E!  I hope your day was special.

Turning 50 sure is a momentous occasion to celebrate a life well lived. I'm sure that there have been a garden of experiences and good memories.  So, Happy Birthday, to the special lady that these cookies were ordered for!  These would also make cute Mother's Day cookies for that special mom in your life!

Happy 15th!

After 15 birthdays, maybe cake gets a bit old??   Cookies make the perfect after dinner birthday treat!  So for this handsome young man who loves football, baseball and the colour green, we came up with these cookies. I was "attempting" an abstract star look with the stars.  The vision in my head didn't quite make it out onto the cookie, however... they are fun none the less!   The A on the football is for the birthday boy's name.

Whew... busy in the kitchen!!

What a busy time of year!  I have gone back to teaching full-time, and baking cookies... not to mention those other jobs that somehow don't get done on their own like raising 3 kids, laundry, dishes etc!  But... I LOVE IT ALL!  Ok.. so I don't love laundry or dishes but the rest is mighty fine!   In the midst of all the Christmas cookies, I got to make some birthday cookies!  Kept them simple, and I loved how they turned out!  It was for a 4 year old to take to his preschool class.  When you are dealing with 4 year olds, and preschool... you keep all the cookies the SAME!   I know the teacher would thank me! :-)  I did the same when baking a swack of our new Double Decker Mini's for school classes!!  Here are some pics of the latest creations this season!
